Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is Changing to the Affordable Connectivity Program

Congress recently created the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a new long-term program that provides federally funded discounts on internet access service to qualified households. The Affordable Connectivity Program is now replacing the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program.

What’s Changed?

The monthly benefit amount for eligible households is decreasing from up to $50 to up to $30. This means eligible households may receive United Internet for as low as $10 per month. Transition from EBB to ACP will be finalized by March 1, 2022 before the decrease in the monthly benefit occurs.

Participating households have already received a letter regarding these changes. Please contact United at 800-794-9999 with further questions.
