UNITED EXTENDS UNITED WIRELESS ARENA NAMING RIGHTS PARTNERSHIP

Three-year extension reinforces shared commitment to Southwest Kansas and its communities.

DODGE CITY, KS – OCTOBER 14, 2026 —United Wireless has extended its current Naming Rights agreement through December 2029 for the Special Events Center located in Dodge City, KS.

The extension of the partnership between the City of Dodge City, United Wireless, and venue operator Venuworks builds on United’s significant investment since 2011 and reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the facility’s long-term sustainability while enhancing its role as a regional destination that generates tourism, economic activity, and quality-of-life opportunities for residents throughout Southwest Kansas.

United Wireless is a wholly owned subsidiary of United Telephone Association, Inc., a locally based, member-owned telecommunications cooperative that has served Southwest Kansas since 1951. Headquartered in Dodge City, United provides internet, wireless, television, and voice services while supporting local organizations, events, initiatives, and partnerships that strengthen the communities it serves.

“For 75 years, United has been proud to call Southwest Kansas home,” said Todd Houseman, United General Manager/CEO. “Our commitment to this region goes well beyond the services we provide. We believe in investing in the communities that have invested in us, helping make Southwest Kansas stronger for generations to come. For 15 years, our partnership with the City of Dodge City has helped make United Wireless Arena a place where neighbors come together, families make memories, and people across our region enjoy experiences close to home. We’re proud to continue this partnership with the City of Dodge City and build on what we’ve accomplished together.”

“The United Wireless Arena serves as a cornerstone of the Southwest Kansas community and hosts a diverse calendar of entertainment, athletics, agriculture, business, and community events that bring residents and visitors together throughout the year,” said Chris Ragland, Executive Director of United Wireless Arena. “In 2025, the venue demonstrated its value as a regional economic driver, generating an estimated $9,608,100 in economic impact, welcoming 96,081 attendees to the complex. This continued partnership will underscore the facility’s ability to attract high-profile events and bring people together from across the region.”

The naming rights agreement extension continues a long-term revenue stream for the publicly owned facility while expanding opportunities for marketing, promotion, and regional visibility.

City Manager Nick Hernandez said the partnership demonstrates confidence in both the venue and the future of Dodge City. “The City of Dodge City is proud to continue our longstanding partnership with United Wireless through the extension of the naming rights agreement for the United Wireless Arena. Since the beginning of this partnership, United Wireless has been an important part of the arena’s identity, helping establish it as a recognizable destination for entertainment, sporting events, and community gatherings, not only for Dodge City but for the entire Southwest Kansas region,” said City Manager Nick Hernandez. “The arena has become an important part of our community, bringing people together, attracting visitors to the area, and creating opportunities for continued growth. We appreciate United Wireless and its continued investment in Dodge City and the surrounding region, and we look forward to building on this successful partnership for many years to come.”

Since assuming management of the facility in 2011, VenuWorks has worked alongside the City of Dodge City, Ford County, community organizations, promoters, and local stakeholders to strengthen programming, enhance the guest experience, and expand the venue’s impact on the region. The naming rights agreement extension represents another important step forward in ensuring the facility remains a vibrant community asset for generations to come.
